<p><em>Il futuro dell&#8217;editoria si baserà molto di più su piattaforme aperte di pubblicazione che permetteranno di trasferire i contenuti editoriali su dispositivi e strumenti in grado di fornire un valore maggiore e che permetteranno agli utenti di aggiungere un valore a un qualsiasi libro, indipendentemente dalla versione originale.<br />
Le case editrici iniziano ad accorgersi che il loro punto di forza risiede nella gestione del talento e nel fornire servizi basati sui diversi aspetti del valore di un autore, quanto più velocemente ed efficacemente possibile per tutta la durata del ciclo vitale dell&#8217;opera. Ma mi aspetto che le aziende più sveglie e veloci, capaci di gestire il valore degli autori di talento in maniera più efficace attraverso una varietà di formati di pubblicazione, sfideranno le tradizionali case editrici nel giro di pochi anni: queste saranno soprattutto le aziende capaci a sfruttare tutte le possibilità che i social media offrono e a mantenere nel tempo le comunità di lettori e di commentatori fidelizzati.&#8221;</em></p>

<p>Da un punto di  vista web2.0 fare un passo indietro dall&#8217;approccio freemium è una cosa molto brutta in termini di affidabilità del mondo web (pensate se Flickr CHIUDESSE tutti gli account non premium).</p>
<p>Equivale ad una minaccia verso l&#8217;utente che ha lavorato per costruire il proprio account cui era strato promesso free che è obbligato o a buttare tutto o a pagare! Ci sono modi più intelligenti e progressivi di fare la stessa cosa (es. chiudere gli account inattivi con mail di alert poi ridurre qualche servizio  o proporr a pagamento il premium a prezzo ridotto e poi chiudere)</p>
<p>Giusti i fini (profitability), trendy il business model (solo premium+trial), sbagliati i modi (cut off).  Grandiosa la scelta di tempo (Election Day - tutti blogger impegnati a parlare di Obama). Brutta storia . </p>
